Well seeing that I'm home and not working yet I need to get a move on to doing some major cleaning out of my room. Over the years, I have collected a ton of cosplay items. This morning I herded up all of my wigs and took photos. Some of these wigs are definitely staying, others I don't know if I'll really use them again. I would like to ask everyone if they could take a look and suggest uses for these 11 wigs :D

Any suggestions would be loved, be it anime, game or movie~ ★

Originally used as Utena, it's been borrowed by friends for Euphie and Ringo. I'm wondering if I could find someone who would be keen on fixxing it up (paid of course) to be Hikaru of MKR?

I am stressed and tired like you wouldn't believe. Feeling sick, panicky, unmodivated and just emo. Last night went to the Guy Fawkes fireworks and had a good time. Gawd I love the hall-mates I've finally met www ♥ Spent some time with Evi later which made me feel a ton better~ But you know what REALLY made my day? Finding an email from my Dad that was sent like a week ago...

So let's see I have 14 days about to:
Study and take 4 tests/exams
Write and give a presentation in Japanese
Make 3 costumes
Complete 40 hours of work
Start selling things I don't need and sending stuff home (If I said I'm sending you presents... circa last Xmas, I'm not lol. You'll get them when I see you.)

I have been reading LJ frequently although haven't gotten a chance to comment much... I have bookmarked a few things I really want to write to you guys about / on, but I'll have to do it when things have settled down. Also my facebook isn't working very well, it won't let me load profiles or the homepage 9/10 times but for some reason apps and event pages are fine.... wtf.

In any case, it's cold, I have a million things to do, I've somehow lost both my DS styluses and my room smells of pineapple and mango. It's cleaning time.

My goodness, can you believe it's that time of year again? What time of year you ask? The time of year I remember my Jewish roots and it has nothing to do with delicious food. Yom Kippur started last night, and this post is getting latter and latter every year... Yom Kippur is the day of repentance; one of the high holidays- the other being Rosh Hashanna, the New Year which was about a week ago. In the time between the two holidays, we are supposed to ask forgiveness for what has happened in the past year- everything we've done to hurt another, and forgive all that has been done to us.

I apologize to everyone for any harm I have caused you. For every time I annoyed you. For every time I just wasn't the friend I could be, like not commenting on that post where you really needed to know that someone was listening but I just had nothing of inspiration to say. I am sorry for anything I have done that hurt you and I wasn't aware. I'm sorry for every snarky or rude comment I've made, and for annoying you with inconsequential woes. And for flipping the channels after you told me not to. My lack of shame and constantly trying to embarrass you in class. My being late and picky, my making fun of you, and my making of inappropriate comments. My never calling unless the entire world feels like it's going to fall apart. My never IMing you although I miss you so much.

I am really so grateful to have such wonderful friends and to have met so many amazing people that I can't wait to get to know better. I love you guys a ton and a half, and life would be very very dull and sad without you. I'm sure this will be a sweet new year!

Now, I must run to class before I need to ask forgiveness for being late, but I must say first that anything that has hurt or offended me I forgive and will forget (I probably already have). So let's start this year on a clean slate...

So guess what I did yesterday~
Well, Actually I slept, hung out with Evi and did a presentation, but more importantly I finished off my Orihime cosplay. I found my old diary the other day. It was 21 months to the day when I finished it from when I started the patterning on my kitchen table in NJ. I'm rather proud of it. First successful pair of hakama, first real attempt at making and modifying patterns, most hand sewing I've done on a costume (Now I know not to use single bais tape again... oiiiii, so not pretty) and second costume I've worn to Uni looool. As you may have gathered, my presentation yesterday was on cosplay, hence why I wore it. One of my classmates suggested making the Shun Shun Rikka as dolls, which would be fun but soooo beyond my ability haha.
Overa1l it's okay I think. Learned a lot. Glad it's done.

Excuse my ugly "I just woke up, threw on a cosplay and am not debating about going to work or not" face ww

Next projects will be some presents I was working on, Ally's Elena, and Shirley. Updated my cosplay list and mangaged to undo the prettyness... will fix it tonight. Now I suppose I should go to work so I can afford going to Auckgeddon and wear this lol.

Once again I tried to cut down on internet, and once again I need it. Always happens. Ah well. So life is insanely busy, started a new job on Friday, working like mad on cosplays/mending and figuring out stuff for moving to the states, and just omfg.

Anywhos, I have a Japanese presentation due on Thursday. Since we can do anything we want, I'm going to talk about cosplay. So if any of the lovely people I have gotten to know through cosplay would like to share some pictures, stories, or tell me a bit about why you cosplay (why you cosplay perticular characters maybe?), what you think cosplay is all about, what it means to you, and what you've learned from it, it would be WONDERFUL ♥

I'm not quite sure what I will covering yet, but I'd certainly love some photos at least! If you guys have any wonderful(ly bad) photos of in-progress or those silly "omg I don't have a wig on yet!" photos that would be awesome too :3 It's just going on a PowerPoint to be shown to my tutorial of like 8 people. Heck, the speech is only like 5-10 minutes I think! I can upload it here (with a translation) once I'm done if anyone cares that much hahaha

So, I heard some of you guys were going to be doing Kuroshitsuji at NYAF. Over at kurofans someone asked if any Kuroshitsuji cosplayers were going to NYAF. I can't go obviously but I figured I would pass on the information to you guys.

So going through all of my "to pack, to ditch" stuff today I came remembered that I never posted about this. When I was in Fukuoka I bought an awesome Putumayo shirt, but it was a silly buy as I will never fit into it like one is supposed to (bewbs/me-in-general are too big and thus it ends up very short). I figured I would post here first and see if anyone I know wanted it before I went on to find it a new home.

Anyways, White Putumayo Sailor Cut-sew, with black collar, red ribbon and rabbit design. It's been worn about three times but still good-as new, possibly a little stretched around the bust area, but I can't tell. Bought in the Fukuoka store in June 08. A red ribbon came with it, it's somewhere around here and I'll include it if I can find it. Seriously just a boring ribbon though.

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH

So my Sewing machine "Captin Jack" has been in the shop for a full month now. Finally last week I was informed the reason there was no progress on his repairs is because the repairman is a lazy ass who never informed the shop that it would cost more than $70, an arbitrary number I chose when I dropped Jack off. I said fine, just let me know.

Jack came back today and I swear I want to cry. The lady at the store tells me that he would need "a new Bobbin holder and hook" which would cost $190. A new sewing machine is $199. Fuck Fuck Fuck. Break starts next week. All I want to do is sew, get shit done, and oh, SEW.

So right now I have a few options.
1) I ask the theatre department if I can borrow thier machine, which we never got to work last year, but I can't really remember trying as we had Jack and our director Megan's machine.
2) Buy one off trade me
3) Just no more sewing for this year and finish up Ally's costume by borrowing her or Caitlin's machine.
Right. This weekend I'm off to buy a sewing machine. Be it from Spotlight or Trade Me.

Ugh, I want to cry. And I have to put Jack up on Trade me... I feel like I've betrayed him... I'm sorry my love! I shall never forget you!!!
(on top of this, I've sort of given up looking for a job here as no one wants to hire a part timer just for two/three months and I came to the conclusion I can't really afford to make Miria for Auckland Armageddon although I really really want to simply cause it's another wig and another 4 meters or something of fabric. Ah fml.)

Yesterday I helped with filming a friend's school project. We had a ton of fun and just as we were about to wrap up one of my friends got a call. The person had to call back for some reason and after we finished shooting, they did. My friend's ex-flatmate, a close friend of many of my friends and a girl I've hung out with on several occasions was found dead that morning after missing for a few days. We wrapped up so he and another friend could go meet with the girl's other friends and today my facebook has been popping up with messages friends left on the girl's page. It's incredibly sad and I have not a clue what happened... I've been searching the news here all day. It's almost surreal, it just doesn't seem like she's gone. She was a sweet girl who was always friendly. May Kyla rest in peace and be able to do all the things she loved in the other realm.

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.

So today I would like to share with you not only the joy of having a rather clean room, but my dear friend, Box-san and his friends.

Now, aside from moving, completing two courses and all that good stuff that must be done in the next 106 days, I have to clear out Box-san and friends. Let's have a tour! First we have Kitty-bag, holding fabric for Iris and Mini-box, a shoe box akwardly sitting inside Box-san. There is a ton of stuff in there that I would like to use for Iris, but if things don't get there, then we'll be fine leaving the behind.

The purple bag is actually Evi's pillow case and is currently holding the fabric for my birthday dress until I can get to a working washer. In the wonderful Stich Eco bag, we have zinkymomo's Elena of Zoids cosplay, or at least part of it. Under that we have the "I will finish this one day" Arrancar!Orihime of Bleach. Then there is mending and PJ pants I really need to make and give to friends...

Then in Box-san, that pink fabric trying to escape shall become Butt Puff Hikaru of Magic Knight Rayearth, well at least it will be the base... I must say this is the costume I'm most excited about. Then somewhere under that we have fabric for the Ashford Girl's uniform (Code Geass) and young Mia Fey (Pheonix Wright). Then there is some random fabric and felt I don't want including a ton of burgandy that was orginally going to be used for Ouran Host Club's Saint Lobelia School Uniform.

Oh, and I have the fabric for Ranka Lee's Concert Outfit (Macross Frontier) on my desk. And I haven't bought anything yet for Baccano!'s Miria for Armegeddon...

*roll* One dress, two pairs of PJ pants, and seven costumes... Four of these are coming to Armegeddon, and I would like to say that the three left, Ranka, Mia and Hikaru are already in plans for stuff in the US, but they aren't hahahaha I have another two projects at least when I get home in November for Katsu and a plan for Ota if I'm still in the country~

srsly, this sounds so mad crazy, but it's going to be amazing! Also having tons of fun working on things for Iris...

:3 I'll finish the dress when my sewing machine gets back, but for now, a bit of hand sewing and a ton of electrical tape is good enough for me~ ♥

I really need to not make any costume past these this year... I have so many costumes already that I would just love to get nice photos in and generally finish off nicely like my Sailor Venus and Sailor V...

So Auckland Armageddon right? 3 days (and like 3 more of insane fun with Ally-bean). Right. 'kay. 3 days. Small con by my standards. Was only planning on 3 costumes. So far I am deffinately doing Miria from Baccano, maybe Code Geass with Ally (YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO), and maybe Arrancar!Orihime cause it was for Auckgeddon... 07? Orihime I am most ready to postpone if Frankie or Alena or anyone needs another person in thier group. On that note I've also signed up to be Konishi from Subarashi Sekai. Also I'll have a Ranka Lee (Macross Frontier) costume done and hopefully a Maylene cosplay (Kuroshitsuji). And I have like three other costumes in my closet.

So, so far the only problem is a surplus of costumes. Wrong.

There is a Masquerade Ball and a Cosplay Contest. While I might not participate in the contest, I certainly want to do something for the Ball.... \(>3<)/

DOUSHIOUUUUUUU?????? Suggestions would be loved lol

(lol and there is a reason for the insane amount of costumes... actually there are more I should be working on... (Like Hikaru from Magic Knights) I have a TON of fabric here that I want to use up as much as I can before I leave so I can send costumes home rather than just fabric or have it go to waste...)

In other news, my Limhwa half elf has arrived. But she's at reception... I rushed home from work and ran with Ally-bean over to the main building and they said there was no package for me. So I pouted. Then I checked the tracking. She's been there since 9am Friday. And I got my parcel slip that night. UGH WHY COULDN'T YOU GIVE HER TO ME THENNNNN??? D< Soooo taking the early Japanese class tomorrow morning and coming home to get her. Evi has been ~~elected~~ chosen to take pictures of the box opening~ www she won't have eyes for another two weeks and no makeup until I get home and bug my favorite goat :3 She's going to be so souless... lol
